A new logo that elegantly captured a startup’s personality and an award winning website with 4,200 unique visitors within the first month.

The Client

Two Chartered Accountant partners, with more than 30 years of combined industry experience. Having worked in senior management in various Fortune 500 companies, they were now looking to setup their own business management consultancy.

They needed a comprehensive design solution from their corporate logo and stationery designs to creating a custom website to introduce audiences to the new brand.

The Research

Our target demographic was the senior management in the various Fortune 500 companies in India. They were highly educated, typically over 50 years of age and would appreciate an intelligent concept with a bit of depth and subtlety. After meeting with the client, I also realised the messaging would need to be concise and to the point since our audience would not spend too much time reading clichéd marketing literature.

The Brand

The client had already decided on a name for the brand, “Bullmonk”. Their idea was to balance the opposite energies of assertiveness and power of a bull with the wisdom and patience of a monk.

I worked on several logo designs, sketching them out on paper, tweaking and refining them until we had three solid concepts that captured the essence of the brand. After several discussions, the client settled on the third loption preferring its minimal outline and perfect visual balance.

The Website

The central idea behind the website was “Adapting to Change”. Today’s companies have to survive and thrive in an unpredictable and dynamic business climate. Instead of trying in vain to predict future trends, why not develop systems that would be flexible enough to adapt to these inherently unpredictable shifts in the landscape.

We now needed equally strong visuals to convey this idea elegantly. Rather than use a typical slideshow, we decided to create a minimal layout in dark greys with particle effects to convey the messaging.

TECHNICALITIES

The website needed to load as fast as possible. We also made sure it was truly responsive working on all devices from widescreen monitors to notebooks, tablets and mobiles, optimising the loading time and visual assets for each screen size.

We also created a custom admin panel which the client could use to update virtually any part of the website from the navigation menu to the images, content and the blog.
