The challenge was how to build brand awareness and loyalty for a scientific agricultural product targeted at a relatively traditional industry in India.

The Client

Arcadia Agro is one of India’s most important producers of Flowering Plants. By using Tissue Culture technology they grow Gerbera & Carnation flowering plants.

Flowers grown from these plants are able to thrive in warm weather conditions, are bigger and bloom much longer than those grown with traditional techniques.

The Research

Several client meetings and some quick research revealed that Arcadia had two target markets - Domestic & International.

While they had done well locally, the international market was an entirely different scene. Especially since they were a new entrant in a specialised field with established global brands like Selecta Cut Flowers.

The Inspiration

Since language was a limitation, we decided to highlight the flowers themselves, keeping the content to a minimum.

The Solution

Stitching together individual Gerbera & Carnation images, we created a beautiful, visually rich cover image for the site.

We also did a photoshoot of Arcadia’s infrastructure highlighting their laboratory & greenhouses.

For the flower pages, we kept things simple using full colour images in a responsive grid ensuring the site worked seamlessly from desktops to tablets and mobile screens.

The RESULTS

The site was nominated on the CSS Design Award & Awwward websites, eventually winning an Honorable Mention award.

More importantly, traffic shot up from 20 to 30 visits a month to well over a thousand visitors.

More importantly, Analytics showed visitors were clicking through the pages and then taking aaction - filling in the Inquiry Form and contacting Arcadia for new orders.
